Show Summary Details

This chapter examines the dispute among Chinese political leaders on the issue of whether or not to bring in further drastic modifications of the structures of the rural collectivization in order to stimulate agriculture. Most political leaders believed that this was probably the central issue of Chinese politics for Mao Zedong.
