Approaches to compositional semantics for broad‐coverage computational grammars must be compatible with resource and processing limitations. This affects the feature architecture, in particular the interaction between the use of features in syntax and morphology and their potential semantic interpretation. We discuss these issues with respect to the DELPH‐IN grammars, using English morphological plurals as an example.
