(b Brescia, bap. 12 Nov 1676; d Venice, 30 May 1746). Italian composer, son of carlo francesco Pollarolo. He was a pupil of his father and perhaps of Lotti. When he was 13 years old the family moved from Brescia to Venice. His first employment at S Marco began in 1702 as substitute for his father, who was vicemaestro di cappella. In 1723 Antonio assumed this office
