A road defined in s 131 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1948 as other than a highway, to which the public has access by permission granted by the appropriate Crown authority, or otherwise granted on behalf of the Crown. Generally, a Crown road will fall within the definition of a ‘road’ within the meaning of the Road Traffic Act 1988 and the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
