A brahmin logician who was the author of the well-known work, Nyāyamañjarī (‘Blooms of Nyāya’), dealing with Nyāya vis à vis Buddhism and the Mīmāṃsaka darśana. He also wrote a witty and satirical, but ultimately tolerant play (Āgamaḍambara—‘Much Ado About Religion’) about religious life in Kashmir during the reign of Śaṅkaravarman (883–902).
