In the abstract for an article in the July issue of the journal (Scheifele D, Halperin S, Pelletier L, et al. Invasive pneumococcal infections in Canadian children, 1991–1998: implications for new vaccination strategies. Clin Infect Dis 2000; 31:58–64), the second sentence should read, “Most cases (61.5%) occurred in patients aged <2 years” (not >2 years). The journal regrets this error.
