It is shown that extracts from books V, VI, and VII of Iamblichus's work On Pythagoreanism are to be found in the work of the Byzantine philosopher Michael Psellos. The contents of these lost books are reconstructed from Psellos's extracts: they concern number as applied in physics, in ethics, and in metaphysics.
