Jealousy, like envy in some ways, but unlike it in others, is a complex passion that can get us into trouble in all sorts of ways. It is sometimes suggested that it is a vice. Instead, it is argued that jealousy should be assessed as part of someone's overall character, and that it can sometimes be a valued character trait.
