This chapter covers lymphomas, which comprises a wide range of diseases, from very indolent low-grade lymphomas to highly aggressive conditions such as lymphoblastic lymphoma. The definitions of the different variations and subtypes of lymphoma are rapidly changing; however, the practice of palliative care in the aggressive and non-aggressive lymphomas remains valid and useful. Management of lymphomas remains largely dependent on the palliative practices employed in the broad categories of Hodgkins and non-Hodgkins lymphoma. The focus of this chapter is on the main categories of lymphoma: the Hodgkins lymphoma and the non-Hodgkins disease.
