As we realize that there are no quick-fix solutions to the problem of the underutilization of female professionals, the best approach in taking on this problem involves creating a working environment where the talents of women and the women themselves are actually valued—an approach that has to simultaneously be adopted with how the organization adjusts to economic changes in the marketplace. Although there may be specific solutions in addressing problems of sexual harassment and other such problems, this proves to be insufficient progress for advancing to the fifth stage. Raising awareness within the work environment, especially about issues of cultural diversity and female underutilization through conducting gender awareness training, is often undermined by several organizations, but is nonetheless necessary in facilitating change within the organization.
