This chapter relates how Orgyan Chokyi went on a pilgrimage to the Kathmandu Valley and it tells of the miracle at Mount Kailash. At Mount Kailash, the lake, and in front of the Khochar Buddha Orgyan Chokyi made prayers as she had done before and conducted prostrations and circumambulations as she was able. When Chokyi beheld the Kochar Buddha, the chapter recounts, its entire body was surrounded by rainbow light. An unbearable ray of light shone from the center of the Buddha and struck her. The appearances of this life were obscured, and a joyous, spontaneous awareness came over Chokyi, she describes. This greatly benefited her meditation. For some seven years Chokyi told no one of this. Later she told her master about what had happened when she had beheld the Kochar Buddha.
