This chapter examines the career development of Georges Barrère during the period from 1915 to 1917. Despite the international conflict, Barrère had the usual menu of concerts and teaching and some tentative forays into the recording studio. He was also busy preparing for the New York concerts of the Trio de Lutèce, Barrère Ensemble and Barrère Little Symphony. During this period, Barrère faced criticism concerning the lack of American works in the chamber music sector. On July 6, 1917, he married Cécile Allombert in Stamford, Connecticut.
