This chapter provides a general look at the presence of psychophysics in opponent Reichardt detectors and coincidence detectors. Beginning with motion, evidence can be initially seen for a multiplication stage in coincidence detection. In this chapter, different models are presented: the late-noise Reichardt model, the opponent or contrast discrimination model, the probability-multiplication model, and the convoy model.
