This chapter traces the reception of the Philokalia in Romania through the work of Fr. Dumitru Staniloae, one of Romania’s greatest theologians in the 20th century. Staniloe’s Philokalia widens the original Greek corpus by expanding and adding more writings totaling some 20 volumes in Romania.
