This chapter argues in defence of traditional Christology against criticisms on the validity and accuracy of Christological evidence. One such criticism is the vulnerability of Christianity to historical discoveries. The chapter questions whether orthodoxy really requires the falsifying either of faith or of historical enquiry and suggests that though there may be an element of risk in faith, it cannot be the kind of risk involved in assuming the accuracy of a historical fact.
