This chapter presents a brief history of the Catholic Apostolic Church. The Church came into being during a historical period which was marked by the French Revolution of 1789 and the British reaction to Edmund Burke's pamphlet Reflections on the French Revolution. The Adventist root of the Church owes much to the Albury Conferences held in the private home of Henry Drummond. This chapter traces the gradual development of the Church and its existence without an ordained ministry.
