This introductory chapter explains the coverage of this book, which is about the migration and religious aspects of the Zoroastrian diaspora. This is the first book to undertake a study of Zoroastrians not only in Independent India but also in the old 19th-century diaspora in China, in the province formerly known as Sind, in East Africa and London, as well as in the newer communities in Germany, France, Canada, the US and Australia. The research for this book involves actual visits to those countries and stay with Zoroastrian families in order to see and feel the diaspora groups within.
