There have been indications of an economic miracle in China. It is important to understand the surroundings of the complex question: How will China modernize? This book attempts to contribute to such understanding. China has in the past century been through three massive transformations, with chaotic intervening periods between the first, second, and third. The current agenda in China, in both economics and politics, is the entry of the world's largest society to the modern world for the first time. The regeneration of China starts with the political will to change, and three features of the context have promoted this. The models for China's evolution are shown.
