This chapter is concerned with the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) management infrastructure. The CPR have recognized the need for effective management and have established a good management infrastructure providing the court with appropriate management tools. Unfortunately, the court has rejected the basic principles of management as incommensurable with justice thereby effectively asserting a right to mismanage.
