This concluding chapter presents the main findings of the second part of the book. According to the data, the performance model is associated to better outcomes than the fidelity model. This is true for selection: managers are more qualified and more able to bear risk. It is also true for managers' behaviour the workplace: they are paid better, they work harder, and they are happier. And, it is also true for firms: they grow faster and they have higher return on capital.
