This chapter examines whether elements of what is commonly understood as reflecting the EU supranational character can also be found, if only partly and in statu nascendi, in the structure and functioning of other international organizations (IOs). The question directrice is therefore whether, and to what extent, qualifying IOs and the law they produce as supranational constitutes a valuable tool in describing and analysing these organizations.
