Part of the purpose of the investigation in this study was to examine, as far as was possible, which factors lie behind strong music experiences and what importance these experiences may have. The participants were therefore asked to answer questions about what they thought was the reason for the experience and what it had meant for them thereafter. There were many answers and they had a very varied content. In addition, quite a lot of causes and consequences can be seen directly in the actual accounts. This chapter presents an overview concerning causes and consequences.
