This chapter begins with a summary of this investigation of strong experiences with music. It then presents comparisons with earlier studies and similarities with other strong experiences. It considers the reliability of the accounts upon which the investigation is based, given that these accounts are of events in the past (retrospective reports), that is, they represent the participants' memories of the actual experience. The chapter then discusses how the descriptive system is applicable to other areas such as strong dance and art experiences, and concludes with some final thoughts.
