This chapter introduces the concept of an Organizational Learning Contract (OLC). The intellectual origins of the “contract” idea are developed. Contributions of this book for both theory and practice are noted. For example, the OLC can be a tool in curriculum diagnosis and change. The changing environment of higher education is examined in the light of the value of using the OLC concept.
