This chapter addresses a number of difficulties that must be faced in order to move from the scholarly analyses presented in the preceding chapters in the book toward concrete action in public policy. It suggests that the True Wealth project might be strengthened by greater analysis and assessment of the effort to apply the principles of Catholic social teaching to concrete situations, as well as advocacy on policies by the Holy See, national bishops' conferences, and state Catholic conferences. The project might also benefit from greater focus on key questions involving work and workers rights, authentic human development, the concrete demands of solidarity, and care for creation.
