Community and Participant Outcomes from the Bridge Project

Show Summary Details

Findings from mixed-methodology evaluations of the Bridge Project are presented in this chapter. The agency’s evaluation plan, described in detail in Chapter 5, provides the foundation and operational blueprint for the evaluation activities described below. In addition, evaluation questions and study processes are guided by the program goals, interventions, and outcomes articulated in the Integrated Prevention and Early Intervention Model (IPEI) in Chapter 4. Using the agency’s evaluation plan and the IPEI, we present findings from assessments of community processes and participant outcomes from the past two academic years. Results from a community investigation of Bridge Project network members and staff are first described. Findings from a mixed-method evaluation based on data from school records and from surveys, interviews, and focus groups with youth, parent, and former participants are then presented.
