This chapter argues that there is a global need for the development of psychological literacy in the general population, and UG psychology education is an opportunity that cannot be ignored if psychology educators are themselves psychologically literate. The aims of undergraduate psychology education in several countries is briefly and selectively reviewed, and the chapter argues that the development of psychological literacy is compatible with current aims.
