Sean Connery returns as 007 for the second film, released in 1963. Top London songwriter Lionel Bart (Oliver!) writes the title song, but John Barry — who had made a commercial hit out of the “Bond Theme” in the first film — writes the score, becoming a full-fledged member of the Bond movie team. Barry visits the Turkey locations during shooting. Popular English singer Matt Monro performs the title song; Barry writes a new Bond theme of his own titled “007”, which resurfaces in later films.
