Catherine Hardwicke’s adaptation of the fairy tale ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ has received harsh criticism from reviewers, critics, and scholars, especially in terms of a predictable teen love triangle à la Twilight; but I would argue that many have been too swift in dismissing the film, released in the United Kingdom in April 2011, without reflecting on its adaptive choices.
