Arthur Aeschbacher studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Geneva from 1941 to 1945. He lived in Paris from 1968. In 1959 he was awarded the Prix de la Peinture Abstraite in Lausanne.

Aeschbacher is best known for his collages and assemblages. Initially he used block capitals, which he composed as he wished. From
