The fourth son of Alberto Alberti, and brother of Cherubino and Alessandro. Giovanni Alberti first worked with his brother Alessandro. He came to Rome early under the pontificate of Gregory XIII who commissioned him to work in the Monte Cavallo palace and the Vatican. He excelled
