Born 1762, in Paris; died 27 August 1833, in Paris.

Engraver.

At first a painter and a pupil of Allegrain between 1781 and 1785, he then became an engraver using both stippled and aquatint techniques, producing prints after Swebach and C. Vernet. He was the father and teacher of Jean-Alexandre Allais.
