Painter.

Alo Altripp trained in Mainz, then in Munich and Dresden. Over different periods of time he struck up friendships with Jawlensky and Paul Klee, then with De Kooning, Soulages and Tobey. He practised an Informal style of painting, similar to what was then known as Tachism. In 1956, Wiesbaden Museum held a retrospective exhibition of his works.
