Painter. Religious subjects, flowers, fruit, still-lifes.

Juan de Arellano studied with Juan de Solis, probably in Segovia, and with Juan de Corte. The painters of the Spanish Netherlands, especially Daniel Seghers, provided his earliest influences. He also copied the flower studies that earned the Italian Baroque painter Mario Nuzzi the nickname Mario
