Painter, engraver. Portraits.

After settling in Vienna he quickly built up a fine reputation as a portrait painter. He was appointed Court Painter by the Emperor Charles VI, a title he retained under Empress Maria Theresa. He painted the head of the sovereign and that of Count Althann
