Born 1702, in Paris; died 1760, in Paris.

Engraver (burin), draughtsman.

He was the son of the painter turned surgeon Pierre Aveline, and the nephew of Antoine Aveline. He was a student of Jean-Baptiste de Poilly, and was the most brilliant artist of his family, ranking high among the engravers of the 18th century. He became a member of the Académie in 1737.
