Painter, engraver (etching). Genre scenes, interiors with figures, landscapes, still-lifes.

Antoine Bail studied art at the École des Beaux-Arts in Lyons and was a prolific artist, specialising in the painting of interiors, but also producing still-lifes, scenes of family life and some less successful landscapes. He is also known for his etchings.
