After studying art at Warsaw's school of fine art, Ladislaus Bakalowicz went to work in Paris. He showed his works regularly in Paris, London, New York and Vienna. His compositions consist of intimate scenes of contemporary young women in their living rooms, or 18th century scenes, or scenes from the Renaissance.
