It seems likely that, up to 1380, Barnaba da Modena worked in Liguria and Piedmont. He then went to Pisa to complete the frescoes of the Legend of St Rainerius, started at the Campo Santo by Andrea da Firenze, although some doubt has bee cast upon Barnaba's
