Born 1538, in Consuegra (New Castile); died 29 September 1590, in El Escorial.

Painter. Religious subjects.

Miguel Barroso was a pupil of Becerra. In 1585 he painted an altarpiece for the hospital of S Juan de Afuera in Toledo. He is also credited with a number of paintings in the cloister of the Evangelists at the Escorial, notably on the oratory doors.
