Bartolommeo di maestro Gentile was an artist of the Urbino School and studied under Giovanni Santi. His only known work is the Madonna for S Agostino da Pesaro, executed in 1497. From Pesaro this work travelled to Lille where, in 1840, it was bought by the museums of France. It is, however,
