Léon Baudry studied first at the École des Arts Décoratifs and then with the sculptors Jules Coutan, Henri Patey and Charles Verlet at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris where he was awarded the Second Prix de Rome for sculpture.

He carved low reliefs for the Palais de Tokyo (Paris),
