Born 1818, in Nolay (Côte-d'Or); died 17 March 1876, in Paris.

Painter, engraver (wood).

Exhibited at the Salon for the first time in 1843. A prolific illustrator, he is best remembered for his frontispiece to Tales of Past Times (Contes du temps passé). Beaucé travelled to Russia in 1853, where he was seconded as a designer to the Imperial Porcelain Factory
