[not available online]A pupil of Lavieille and Berne-Bellecour, Berthelon exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français from 1864-1914, winning a jury commendation in 1879 and a silver medal in 1889. His landscapes feature forest and countryside scenes from the Bièvre valley and Brittany, in soft tones of pink and grey, beneath sweeping skies
