Born 1853, in Fécamp; died 1934, in Paris.

Painter. Religious subjects, portraits, figures, genre scenes.

A pupil of Alexandre Cabanel, Bertin was a regular exhibitor with the Salon des Artistes Français (of which he was a member) until 1920. He was commended in 1888 and 1889. The painting Woman Gathering Firewood, exhibited in 1900, is characteristic of his work.
