Painter, draughtsman, illustrator. Landscapes with figures, urban landscapes.

Raymond Besse grew up in the Berry area, revisiting it to paint there until 1930. In 1916 he settled in Paris, where he began to exhibit work in 1923, showing Fat Ox at Issoudun at the Salon des Artistes
