Bianchi-Ferrari seems to have been influenced by Cristoforo and Lorenzo Canozzi, painters and mosaic artists who worked in Parma and Modena in the middle of the 15th century. According to some historians, he was the master of the great Correggio. He is first mentioned in 1481 in a chronicle
