Painter.

A pupil of Hersant, Charles Blanchard entered the École des Beaux-Arts on 3 April 1830 and exhibited for the first time at the salon of 1836 with Washing (country scene) and Gamekeeper; in 1848 he showed The Holy Women at the Tomb of Jesus.
