A pupil of F. Carcano, Guido Boggiani started exhibiting in 1883 with Collecting Chestnuts (Rome) and Perils of Saint Anne, Olive Trees at Francheville-sur-Mer, Path near Lago Maggiore and Villages (Venice, 1887), and a monumental painting entitled Quies (Milan, 1894). He travelled to South America
