Born 30 August 1735, in Chalon-sur-Saône (Saône-et-Loire); died 9 December 1814, in Paris.

Sculptor, draughtsman.

A pupil of Colasson in Chalon-sur-Saône, and of Simon Challe in Paris, Boichot completed his studies in Rome. He created sculptures for the principal portico of the Pantheon, the Vendôme column, the arch of the Carrousel and the Palais Luxembourg, among others. He is also
